Creating/Importing People
To create a new Person, click the New Person toolbar button, or select File Menu > New Person. You can edit the person's general contact information, as well as their billing information, notes, and company. The company is used to sort people's association in Accounted.

People can also be imported from the following places:
- IIF Files (Quickbooks Import Files)
- Delimited Text (CSV, standard text files)
- Studiometry (from Debt/Credit types)
- Apple Address Book

In this section we will go into detail about importing People from Apple's Address Book. To import people, select File Menu > Import > People From Address Book. This option is only available on Macintosh computers.

In the window that comes up, you will select the type of people you'd like to import. If you'd like to import multiple types, simply go through the import process once for each type you'd like to import.

When you press the continue button Accounted will list out all of the contacts in your Address Book. Simply check the box on the line of each person you'd like to import. If you've already imported a person. Any checked lines will be imported into Accounted when you press the Import button, and if the people have already been imported they will simply have their information updated.

This is not syncing, as Accounted will simply do the initial import from Address Book. Any changes made in Accounted will not be reflected in Address Book, and any changes in Address Book will only be shown in Accounted if you manually update the contact by re-importing them using this method.

More information on the other importing methods is available in the Importing section of the Accounted help files.
