| Total Calculations |
|
Studiometry 6.1 has a complete revamp of the Quantity and Markup capabilities from previous versions. These two options have both been consolidated into one option called Calculate Total. When the Calculate Total checkbox is checked when Editing a Debt Credit you can do any of the following:
- Assign a Unit Price - Enter a Quantity - Use Inventory items (if you have inventory setup and the current Employee has the appropriate permissions) - Apply a Percentage markup - Apply a Fixed Per Unit markup - Apply a Fixed On Total markup Studiometry will then take what you enter to calculate the actual Amount for the Debt/Credit. The Amount is the default value that will appear on Invoices when listing out Debt/Credit items. The other information can be accessed using other specific tags within your Invoices and Reports, which will be explained later. Quantity and Inventory functions The quantity for a Debt/Credit can be taken from your Studiometry Inventory. Quantity is used when applying markups or simply when multiplying the base amount of an item by a number. For example, if you'd like to show that you drove 150 miles at $0.10 per mile, you quantity would be 150 and the Vendor Price would be $0.10, resulting in a pre-markup total of $15.00. Markup Functions Several new markup options are available in Studiometry 6.1: Percentage: The markup percentage will be applied to each individual unit. A 10% markup on two (2) items priced originally at $100 will result in a total of $220. Fixed Per Unit: the markup amount will be added to each individual unit. A $10 markup on two (2) items priced originally at $50 will result in a total of $120. Fixed On Total: the markup amount will be added after other markups are applied. A $50 markup on two (2) items priced originally at $50 will result in a total of $150. Related Invoice/Report tags Several new item pricing and vendor pricing tags are available for use in Invoices and Reports. You can view the information in the Debt/Credit window by mousing over each field, or alternatively the information can be viewed when editing a visual template and selecting a new tag. |
